Far Shore

We're Getting Mutants in the MCU - The Loop

The refers most generally to the concept of the world of the non-living. The most common examples of beings of the Far Shore include Gods, Shinki, and phantoms.

Occasionally, the Far Shore also refers to the realm of Takamagahara, which is essentially Heaven, as it is the home of the Gods. Another place away from the living world is Yomi, known as the Underworld, the realm of the deceased filled by phantoms and ruled by Izanami.[1] One of the few ways to return to the human world from the underworld is the Soul Call, a technique that can recall someone from the underworld by a living human by calling them by their real name.[2]

According to Yato, the Far Shore does not have seasons and the length of its days/nights are completely random. He estimates that one day on the Far Shore is equivalent to three days on the Near Shore, although he thinks it may actually equate to more.[3]
