Bones Inc. ( (かぶ) (しき) (がい) (しゃ) ボンズ Kabushiki-gaisha Bonzu?), colloquially known as Studio Bones, is a Japanese animation studio founded in October 1998 and headquartered in Suginami-ku, Tokyo, Japan.[1][2]

Anime Production[]

Bones is divided into five sub-studios, named A-E, each of which focus on a number of anime projects.[2] Studio A produced an anime adaptation of the original Noragami manga by Adachitoka with a total of twenty-five episodes across two seasons. The first season aired from January to March 2014, and the second season aired from October to December 2015.[3] Both seasons were directed by Kotaro Tamura and had company co-founder Toshihiro Kawamoto as the character designer.[4]

Bones also produced an additional four OAD episodes which were released as DVDs bundled with volumes 10,[5] 11,[6][7] 15,[8] and 16[9] of the manga.

Licensing[]

Studio Bones has licensed Noragami to Funimation Entertainment for streaming in North America.[3][10]
